MUSLIM BAN
People from Iran, Libya, Somalia, Syria, and Yemen were banned from
entering the US. In 2018, the Supreme Court with a 5-4 decision allowed
for Trump’s ban to be established. The ban has separated Muslim
families, rejected Muslims from accessing medical procedures that could
save their lives, and stopped many from visiting their families within
the US. This ban further encourages the idea that Muslims are a threat,
and not part of American society.
